Autumn
It's been a balmy 26 degrees all week, and people are still rocking their shorts and slip slops until sundown. Then it feels like winter is on the way! The water dragons are also nowhere to be seen in the last two months, so they must be hibernating. We have just said goodbye to our first set of visitors. Pete's Mom and Dad flew all the way to see us, and spent 6 weeks discovering Mosman, and Sydney. They were blessed with mostly good weather, and we hope they had a good time. A highlight of the visit, was a trip to the Blue Mountains. Even though we had rain and mist those few days, it is a beautiful area of Australia and we can't wait to return. The Autumn colours were especially gorgeous with lots of beautiful trees in rich colours.
The Blue Mountains were nothing like I expected. Rather than looking up at a huge moutain, we were looking down on them. It is a vast area, and we had only travelled 1.5 hours into the Katoomba area. I am sure with further driving the perspective would be quite different again. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to run or ride, but no doubt there are some breathtaking tracks for both.
