Thanks to some very mild winter weather, the school holidays were great fun. I'm not sure if this is a typical Sydney winter, but it has not been bad at all so far (touch wood!) The girls and I saw a show at the Opera House, we visited Sydney Olympic Park, Mt Annan Botanical Gardens for an Aussie barbecue, the MCA museum for their great kid activities, the zoo, the chinese gardens and even the beach a couple of times! My favourite part of the school holidays is sleeping in later, and not making school lunches! But really the best part of holidays is the promise of 'endless' time stretching ahead of you with nothing cast in stone. One of our favourite afternoons was taking a couple of friends, a couple of cardboard boxes and sliding down a really steep hill over and over and over again! Sometimes the simplest things....
